Rare Thrombotic Diseases Consortium

What is the RTDC?

Mission Statement

The Rare Thrombotic Diseases Consortium is dedicated to the investigation of antiphospholipid antibody syndrome, heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, and other rare thrombotic disorders.

Our Consortium brings together healthcare professionals and educators, clinical and basic researchers, and patient advocacy groups to study these disorders. We will utilize existing registries and resources, as well as provide access to a Contact Registry that facilitates patient participation and involvement in our studies. In addition, we will also develop and implement training programs for healthcare providers to improve their understanding of these disorders and enhance their ability to diagnose and manage these patients. By bringing together these groups and resources, our ultimate goal is to improve the lives and well-being of our patients.
