The University of Utah Vasculitis Center is the only medical center in the Western United States with physicians dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with vasculitis. The Center was established in 2007 and hosts a wide spectrum of doctors with expertise in the treatment of these rare disorders. The University of Utah has the latest technology in radiographic imaging and laboratory diagnostic tests. The University of Utah is a participating site in the NIH sponsored Vasculitis Clinical Research Consortium and specializes in the care of patients with giant cell arteritis, Takayasu’s arteritis, Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (Wegener's) (GPA), microscopic polyangiitis, Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (Churg-Strauss), polyarteritis nodosa, and others.
