About the Center

The Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Diseases (EGID) Program at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is devoted to the comprehensive care of children with eosinophilic esophagitis and other eosinophilic disease that affect the GI system. We have a dedicated, multidisciplinary team of gastroenterologists, allergists, and dieticians that provide state-of-the-art diagnostic testing, and individualized therapeutic plans designed to meet the specific needs of our patients and families. As well, we have a robust clinical and basic research program with numerous active protocols looking at the pathogenesis and novel treatments of these diseases. The EGID Program at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is a participating center of CEGIR and is dedicated to the consortium’s education and research into EGIDs.
