About the Center

The Mount Sinai Center for Eosinophilic Disorders (MSCED) provides cutting edge clinical care, research, and support for patients with eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases (EGID) and their families. It is the only center in the tri-state area with a clinical and research focus on EGID including eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). At the MSCED, we provide care for children and adults suffering from the gamut of EGID including EoE. The Center comprises of a gastroenterologist, an allergist, a dietitian, and a psychiatrist that work as a team, tailored to the needs of each patient. In addition to standard clinical care, cutting edge medical care in the form of various clinical trials is provided. Translational research projects related to the pathogenesis of EGID, non-invasive tests for EGID and identification of food triggers in EGID are also ongoing at the Center. The MSCED is proud to be part of CEGIR, and is involved in enrolling patients for both of CEGIR’s clinical trials.
